Palliative Care Conference 2010
Cayman HospiceCare had the pleasure in hosting the 2010 Caribbean Palliative Care Conference this past June.
The conference's goal was to broaden the Palliative and End-of-Life education and encourage not only our own staff but also our interdisciplinary colleagues, who share the same challenges and responsibilities as we do in hospice and palliative care.

Dr. Neil McDonald from McGill University presents the first module of the conference to more than 125 delegates. |

VOICES FOR HOSPICE, October 10, 2009

|
Voices takes place globally every two years on World Hospice and
Palliative Care Day and is intended to unite hospices and their supporters worldwide. This year, Cayman was one of 69 countries, from Zimbabwe to Equator, participating.
This event celebrated the grand opening of “The Crescent” at Cayman’s new Town, Camana Bay. The Cayman National Choir and Cayman National Orchestra teamed up to perform a spectacular open-air concert. The evening began at 6:30 pm. At 7:00 pm, we took part in the largest simultaneous musical event in the world. Often described as the “Mexican Wave” of music, more than 120 countries participated around the globe and performed a live piece at 7:00 pm, local time. |
