What is Cayman HospiceCare?

Cayman HospiceCare is a non-profit organisation that provides speciality nursing care to people with advanced, progressive illness in a location of the patient's choice.

What is Palliative Care?

Palliative care is a medical speciality which focuses on pain control and system management. In addition to supporting the patient, nurses also work with the family, helping them make decisions as to how they would like to see this time spent.

Where is Cayman HospiceCare located?

The offices of Cayman HospiceCare are in their new location at the historic Conch Shell House at 494 North Sound Road, across from CUC. We can be reached by telephone at 945.7447 or by email at chc@candw.ky.

How many patients does Cayman HospiceCare have?

At any one time CHC sees between twenty-five and thirty-five patients, resulting in an average of 4,000 home visits per year.

How many staff members are there?

Cayman HospiceCare has a Medical Director, a Director of Nursing & Operations, three nurses, two caregivers, two administrators and many volunteers. It is also supported by a Board of Directors who actively participate in the administration of this organisation.

How much do Hospice services cost?

All services of Cayman HospiceCare are free to all people living in the Cayman Islands.

What other services and programs do you provide?

A Bereavement Support Group is open to the public, and provides experiences, hope/volunteer and caregiver training.


Full Circle is our Grief Recovery Group that offers a facilitated safe haven where experiences can be shared.
