The Cayman Islands First Palliative Care Symposium

In collaboration with Baptist Health, Cayman HospiceCare held The Palliative Care Symposium in Cayman in February. To see so many of our Island's professionals come together for this learning opportunity was indescribably rewarding. More than one hundred doctors, nurses, councilors, clergy, MLAs, funeral directors and numerous other interested professionals participated in the two-day event.

The Baptist specialists presenting gave insightful and informative modules enlightening all while also providing continuing education credits to qualified healthcare professionals. The symposium covered topics such as “Pain Management” and “Communicating Bad News.” Sessions involved case studies and interactive group exercises.

This event could not have happened if not for our HospiceCare team working together seamlessly to promote and organise our first international event.
